Ingredients

4 count
boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tbsp
olive oil
0.25 cup
unsalted butter
2 tsp
honey
1 tsp
garlic powder
1 tsp
smoked paprika
0.5 tsp
salt
0.5 tsp
ground black pepper
0.25 cup
chicken broth
1 tbsp
fresh parsley

Before you start

  • If chicken breasts are extra thick, slice them in half for even cooking.
  • Measure out butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper ahead of time.
  • Chop fresh parsley if using as garnish.

Instructions

  1. 1.
In a small bowl, mix together the unsalted butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. 2.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. 3.
Add the chicken breasts and sear each side for 5-6 minutes until a golden crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  4. 4.
Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  5. 5.
Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and use a wooden spoon to scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. 6.
Stir in the prepared butter mixture and reduce the heat to low, simmering until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
  7. 7.
Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the buttery sauce generously over each piece.
  8. 8.
Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the chicken to absorb the flavors.
  9. 9.
Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm.
