Before you start
- •If chicken breasts are extra thick, slice them in half for even cooking.
- •Measure out butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper ahead of time.
- •Chop fresh parsley if using as garnish.
Instructions
- 1.In a small bowl, mix together the unsalted butter, honey, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until combined.
- 2.Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- 3.Add the chicken breasts and sear each side for 5-6 minutes until a golden crust forms and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- 4.Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- 5.Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and use a wooden spoon to scrape up the browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- 6.Stir in the prepared butter mixture and reduce the heat to low, simmering until the sauce is smooth and slightly thickened.
- 7.Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the buttery sauce generously over each piece.
- 8.Simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the chicken to absorb the flavors.
- 9.Sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley and serve warm.
