These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of MyJamm, including the website, application, recipe import tools, saved recipe features, and related services.
By creating an account, purchasing access, importing a recipe, or using MyJamm, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use MyJamm.
MyJamm is owned and operated by:
David Gratton Consulting Ltd.
North Vancouver, BC
In these Terms, “MyJamm,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to David Gratton Consulting Ltd.
MyJamm is a personal recipe management tool. It helps users save, organize, and use recipes by importing recipes from sources such as:
MyJamm may use automated tools, including AI-assisted extraction, to turn messy recipe content into a structured recipe format. This may include ingredients, steps, timing, notes, mise en place, and tasks that may be useful to complete in advance.
You may need an account to use some or all of MyJamm's features.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.
You must not use another person's account without permission.
MyJamm may offer free trials, one-time purchases, credits, top-ups, or other paid features. The specific pricing and included features will be shown at the time of purchase.
Unless stated otherwise at the time of purchase:
Payments may be processed by third-party payment providers. We do not directly store full payment card details.
Because MyJamm is a low-cost digital product, purchases are generally final once access or credits have been delivered, unless otherwise required by law.
That said, we want to be fair. If something went wrong with your purchase or you believe you were charged in error, contact us at ddonat@gmail.com.
You retain ownership of the recipes, notes, photos, text, and other content you upload, paste, save, or import into MyJamm.
By using MyJamm, you grant us permission to process your content only as needed to provide the service. This includes storing recipes, extracting recipe details, formatting recipes, generating mise en place or preparation suggestions, displaying your saved recipes, troubleshooting issues, and improving the reliability and security of the service.
We do not claim ownership of your recipes.
You are responsible for the content you import into MyJamm.
MyJamm is designed to help you save, organize, and cook from recipes for your own personal use.
In Canada and the United States, basic recipe information — such as ingredient lists, quantities, cooking methods, temperatures, and functional preparation steps — is generally not protected by copyright. That means saving and using the factual parts of a recipe for your own personal cooking is usually different from copying and republishing someone else's creative work.
However, some parts of recipe content may still be protected by copyright or other rights. This can include photos, videos, illustrations, personal stories, commentary, detailed creative writing, website design, cookbook collections, and other original expressive material.
You agree not to use MyJamm to upload, store, share, publish, or redistribute content in a way that:
MyJamm is intended for personal recipe storage and cooking use. It is not a tool for mass copying, scraping, republishing, or redistributing copyrighted recipe websites, cookbooks, photos, stories, or other protected content.
When you import a recipe, you are responsible for making sure your use of that content is lawful and consistent with any terms that apply to the original source.
Put simply: MyJamm is for keeping recipes you want to cook from, not for copying someone else's recipe site or cookbook and publishing it as your own.
MyJamm may use automated tools to parse, summarize, reformat, or enhance recipe information. Automated extraction may make mistakes.
You are responsible for reviewing recipes before cooking from them, including ingredient quantities, cooking times, temperatures, allergen information, food safety steps, and dietary suitability.
MyJamm does not provide medical, nutritional, dietary, allergy, or food safety advice. Use your own judgment and consult qualified professionals where appropriate.
MyJamm may allow you to import from URLs or content from third-party websites. We do not control third-party websites and are not responsible for their availability, terms, content, paywalls, restrictions, or technical limitations.
You are responsible for complying with any terms that apply to websites or services from which you import content.
Some websites may block automated access, restrict copying, or require login access. MyJamm may not be able to import from every website.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that MyJamm will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device, browser, recipe website, or content format.
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of MyJamm over time. If we make significant changes that materially affect access, we will try to provide reasonable notice where practical.
We believe your recipes should remain yours.
Where reasonably available, MyJamm may provide export, download, or copy features so you can preserve your recipes outside the service.
You may request account deletion by contacting ddonat@gmail.com. Some information may be retained where required for legal, security, tax, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business recordkeeping purposes.
MyJamm, including its design, software, branding, features, interface, and related materials, is owned by David Gratton Consulting Ltd. or its licensors.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or create derivative works from MyJamm except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation to you. This does not give us ownership of your recipes or personal content.
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
By using MyJamm, you acknowledge that we process personal information as described in that policy.
MyJamm is provided “as is” and “as available.”
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.
We do not guarantee that recipe extraction, formatting, preparation suggestions, or AI-generated outputs will be complete, accurate, safe, or suitable for your needs.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, David Gratton Consulting Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of recipes, lost profits, service interruption, or cooking-related outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to MyJamm will not exceed the amount you paid to MyJamm in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless David Gratton Consulting Ltd. from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of MyJamm, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.
You may stop using MyJamm at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay amounts owed, or use MyJamm unlawfully.
Termination does not affect rights or obligations that should reasonably survive termination, including payment obligations, intellectual property rights, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity obligations.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, unless another jurisdiction's laws are required to apply.
The courts located in British Columbia, Canada will have jurisdiction over disputes, unless applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on MyJamm with a new effective date.
Your continued use of MyJamm after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
